2011 Jeep Patriot 4x4 The 2011 Jeep Patriot 4X4 is the least expensive vehicle in the Jeep lineup, with a starting price of $15,995. The Patriot received several updates for the 2011 model year, including a refreshed front and rear fascia and a tweaked interior. From the inside this little Jeep packs plenty of passenger volume, and a roomy cockpit for the driver. We're big fans of the thick leather steering wheel in the Patriot; it makes sense that the areas you touch most should feature the best materials. One drawback is that most pet carriers won't fit in the Patriot's 23 cubic foot cargo area. So if your babies are in need of transport, you're likely going to need to stow the second row seats. Luckily, that task is simple to accomplish, and with the seats folded flat the Patriot's cargo area triples to 62.7 cubic feet. The Patriot also features a 60/40 split second row seat, so you can still have more than one human passenger plus a larger cargo carrier. The Patriot features plenty of options for accommodating just about any carrier you've got, unless you're toting around a Bull Mastiff. And we all know how important it is to keep that precious cargo securely fastened, as our little buddies don't like sliding around uncontrollably and we don't want any loose family members playing pinball out back. The Patriot features seven d-rings that make locking down carriers a piece of cake. And if you do have the Bull Mastiff, you can use the d-rings to tether him or her to a travel harness. Overall, the Patriot is a very solid choice for the pet owner on a budget. This little Jeep is fuel efficient, pet friendly and very affordable. If you live in a cold weather climate, the available four-wheel drive system will help keep you planted to the road, which is good news for us and our furry friends. 2011 Jeep Patriot 4x4 was reviewed by Bark Buckle UP and put to the test with Betty & Princess (dogs) on city streets, highways and dirt roads. Some minor styling changes for the front and rear, ground clearance increased, steering & suspension upgraded to help improve the handling. You can double the cargo space by folding the 60/40 rears seats flat then you can fit more crates or carries, larger pets and even dogs in travel harness that tether to the d-rings. There are 7 d-rings in the Patriot cargo area so you can secure your pets correctly to a d-ring with a tether system so pets won't become a projectile. "Enjoy the ride Be Smart Ride Safe buckle up the whole family", said Pet Safety Lady. ![]() |
