Hotels
As many hotels have made their chains more pet friendly, we saw a 300% increase in pet-friendly lodging form 2005 to 2007. Obviously, each hotel location is different, so you need to be aware when you book and arrive to stay at a hotel of the pet friendly areas, what they offer and any restrictions.
Pets in Hotel Tips:
Know the locations of pet potty areas. Assemble a list of local veterinarians, sitters, walkers, parks and pet-friendly restaurants. Some restaurants don't allow pets, so you may need to leave your pet in your room. If you do, be sure to leave a note on the door for housekeeping. If your pet is too noisy, you may be asked to leave. We suggest a sitter if you aren't going to be in the room with your pet. Keep your pet on a leash at all times when you are out. Be sure to bring along your pets medical information the free Bark Buckle UP pet safety kit, which has your emergency information, your pets' photo and update your pets ID tag. Keep your pets on their regular food and snacks to avoid upset tummies. |
